Distinguished artist A.R. Rahman just recently stated a turning point in his early profession when a bandmate’s honest review triggered a considerable change in his musical method. In an interview with O2 India, Rahman shared that at 19, while working together with numerous authors and taking part in a band, a guitar player– under the impact of alcohol– challenged the creativity of his work, questioning why he was reproducing movie music.
This encounter, taking place around 1985-86, deeply affected Rahman, leading him to acknowledge the degree to which he had actually been affected by the authors he dealt with. Figured out to develop his distinct design, he started a seven-year journey to distance himself from those impacts, eventually improving his skill and profession.
Rahman highlighted how such reviews, even when provided candidly, can resonate deeply and drive individual development, permitting artists to reconnect with the real essence of their imagination.
